Spraying

In the fields of building renovation, maintenance and restoration, various materials are injected, sprayed and filled in to ensure that the original structure is preserved and not compromised. To address the specific conditions of the masonry, there is a wide range of injection techniques and applications available. The selection of suitable accessories for your building project is correspondingly extensive.

Protection and durability
for buildings

Moisture can cause considerable damage to buildings. Components in contact with the ground are constantly exposed to ground moisture, rainwater, and chemical influences. If water penetrates the masonry, this can lead to long-term structural damage, mould mould formation or a reduction in the quality of living. To prevent this, exterior walls are often sealed with sealing slurries or sprayed mortar. This creates a waterproof, mineral layer that seals the pores and capillaries in the masonry. There are two methods of application: classic brushing or machine spraying.

The spraying method offers
several practical advantages

  • Uniform layer thickness even on large surfaces
  • Secure sealing at corners, edges, and uneven surfaces
  • Time-efficient processing, as large wall surfaces can be coated more quickly
  • Reduced material loss, as the slurry is applied directly to the substrate

PROCEDURE

Screw pump DESOI PowerInject SP20 conveys the material (sealing slurry) to the spray nozzle head / spray lance in a controlled manner. The controlled conveying ensures the even distribution of the material on the surface to be protected and thus a reliable sealing. Compared to traditional sealing methods such as bitumen membranes or sealing foils, the spraying method offers a time- and material-efficient solution, especially for complex geometries such as corners, such as corners, edges, and uneven surfaces.

The combination of equipment and method allows a professional and efficient application protecting the structural element durably against humidity. Optionally, the required material can be delivered depending to the need.
DESOI POWERINJECT SP20
DESCRIPTION
Spiral pumps DESOI PowerInject SP20 are of multiple use and features high power combined with compact design. With the delivery rate control the pump can be controlled continuously from standstill to maximum speed. Optionally, by using an extension cord the delivery rat control can be fixed directly at the end of the material hose so that the operator can react immediately to avoid that the material gets under pressure. Additionally the spiral pumps can be equipped with the attached mixing device.

MATERIAL TO BE USED
  • Aqueous solution
  • Injection mortar
  • Cement paste
  • Cement suspension
  • Sealing slurries
  • Fine filler
  • Lime cement plaster
  • DESOI Spiral Anchor Mortar
  • Quartz-based primer

ADVANTAGES/NOTICE
  • Cone-shaped material container - self-emptying
  • Big material passages - high delivery
VARIO SPRAY NOZZLE HEAD
DESCRIPTION
The Vario spray nozzle head sprays the material with compressed air. By turning the nozzle, the spray pattern can be adjusted to the material used. This means, no negative pressure is created which may empty the material hose. Thus, a clean spray pattern without air intakes is produced up to a layer thickness of 3 mm wet. By default, a 6 mm nozzle is used.

MATERIAL TO BE USED
  • 1-/2-componant sealing slurries
  • Fine filler
  • Hybride sealing material
  • Finishing plaster
  • Ready-mixed plaster
  • Fine plaster
  • Paint

ADVANTAGES/NOTICE
  • Suitable for thinner material layers, e.g. sealing slurries>
SPRAY LANCE
DESCRIPTION
The spray lance serves for seamless application of paste-like to high-viscous materials as mineral, bitumen-containing and bitumen-free thick coatings. Used with screw pump DESOI PowerInject SP20 the spray lance ensures a homogenous material application of a defined layer thickness. Due to its design it is suitable for big and/or hardly accessible surfaces. In action, due to the supply of air, a negative pressure is generated at the end of the spray lance, so that the material is gently sucked in and sprayed.

MATERIAL TO BE USED
  • Mineral materials
  • Bitumen-containing materials
  • Bitumen-free materials

ADVANTAGES/NOTICE
  • Application of higher layers
  • High material throughput
  • Even material application
  • Efficient coating of big surfaces
  • Optimised material utilisation
  • Robust for use on site>
